Pakistan hands over drowned civilian's body to BSF


Jammu, Jul 11 (IANS): Pakistan Rangers Friday handed over the body of a civilian who was washed away in the in spate Chenab River to the Border Security Force in Jammu district, a police official said.

"Pakistan Rangers today (Friday) evening handed over the body of a civilian who had been washed a way by the swollen waters of Chenab River to the Pakistan side of the international border in Jammu district," a senior police officer told IANS here.

The body was identified as of Kant Lal, son of Bhishain, resident of Greater Kailash in Jammu. He was around 70 years old.

"The body was handed over at Octroi post in Suchetgarh area of R.S.Pura sector in Jammu district at a special flag meeting called for the purpose," the official said.
