Ghala, May 15: Mangaloreans of Holy Spirit Church – Ghala are all set to celebrate the anniversary of their beloved church on 17th May 2007 from 7.15 pm onwards at the Ghala Church premises.
As officially announced by the church officials, the celebrations of the 20th anniversary started in the month of January 2007 and will continue throughout the year 2007 and end with a grand finale on the 15th of November 2007 with lot of surprises and entertaining activities. As part of the celebration each community of the Parish will be organizing different activities every month. The sole purpose of these get-together functions is to bring the people of the particular community together and to enable them to work as one family and participate wholeheartedly towards the event.
Mangaloreans of the Ghala Parish will be celebrating the event on Thursday 17th of May 2007 with a solemn mass in English at 7.15 pm for which all the liturgical arrangements – ushering, collection, choir, offertory, reading, prayers of the faithful etc will be handled by the Mangalorean community.
Following the mass, an entertaining cultural programme has been organized the community leaders which includes a MAGIC SHOW as a major attraction. There will be food stalls serving delicious and traditional Mangalorean delicacies like Pork Bafat and Sannas.
Stany Menzes, active Mangalorean activist and the parish council member extended a warm invitation to all the community members residing in and arround Ghala parish and attend this joyful function in large numbers. He urged the community people to join in both the holy mass and the cultural celebrations. “We need a great support and cooperation of the whole community to make this evening a memorable one, “ says Stany with his great smile. “ and we are sure that we will get overwhelming support from everyone”
