Islamabad, July 14 (IANS): At least 14 militants were killed in a military operation in Pakistan's tribal region of North Waziristan, the authorities said on Tuesday.
"Terrorists were seen dragging some of the dead bodies while fleeing the area," Xinhua quoted an official statement as saying.
It said Pakistani forces have cleared over 90 percent of the areas from the Taliban and other militant groups since launching a major offensive in June 2014. Nearly 2,800 militants have been killed and their infrastructure destroyed in the offensive.
