Mangalore, May 19: Former president of JD (S) district unit Vasant Bangera who has recently come out from JD (S) has now joined Congress in their election campaign in Ullal assembly constituency.

Addressing a press conference here in the city on Friday May 18, he announced his support to Congress.

He reserved the press conference to criticize district-on-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty.  He said that the minister has been interfering in all administrative matters of the district and is involved in dirty politics “I was never involved in such a dirty politics.  Whatever it may be, a minister should not get to this low level.  He should keep his dignity up in all matters,” he added.

Farooq Ullal who was present at the press meet alleged that JD (S) candidate Abubakkar Natekal is being led by Nagaraj Shetty and that the latter has forced JD (S) to field a minority candidate in order to divide Muslim votes between Congress and JD (S).
