Mangalore, May 22: Three persons attacked a group of five people at Jeppu Bappal here on Tuesday May 22 morning.
Sources said that five persons who were going to attend a meeting at a madarassa, were assaulted by three persons with wooden logs.
The injured Ali Hyder Perne (25) and Abdul Zalil (22), have been admitted to a private hospital in the city.
The identity of the miscreants is not yet known.
The Pandeshwar police have taken this incident very seriously, as the place where the incident occurred comes under the Ullal assembly constituency, where the by-election would be held on June 2.
