Mangalore, May 24: "Japan does have good ship-building companies which are very much interested to share their expertise and initiate mutual business with India. Since Mangalore has one of the best ports, possibilities could be explored by locals companies with regard to associating with these Japanese companies. It would be beneficial too both India as well as Japan," said director of Japan external trade organization, Bangalore Kazumasa Kuboki.
He was addressing the gathering at an interactive meeting on "Business opportunities between Japan and India organized by Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here on Wednesday May 23 evening.
KCCI president John Prasad Menezes, who submitted memorandum to Kazumasa, said that Japan was a market leader in ship-building, electronics, fishing and technology innovations.
John Prasad Menezes welcomed the gathering while vice-president Kumble Narasimha Prabhu introduced the chief guest to the gathering. Honorary secretary Srinvas S Kamath proposed vote of thanks.
