LG launches Max smartphone at Rs.10,990

New Delhi, July 24 (IANS): South Korean electronics major LG on Friday launched the LG Max smartphone globally from India at a price of Rs.10,990.

The smartphone will be powered by a 1.3 GHZ quad-core processor and a 1 GB RAM unit. The device will have an internal memory of 8GB which can be expanded via a microSD slot.

The device, which the company says is the successor to the LG Bello launched last year, will run on Lollipop and feature a larger display and a more powerful selfie camera.

In addition to the large 5-inch display, the device will come with a 8-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera along with a 2,540mAh replaceable battery. The LG Max also comes with LG's proprietary features like Gesture Shot and Selfie Flash (carried over from the G Series).

"Most of the people who use internet on smartphones use 3G services as 4G is still at a nascent stage in our country. Keeping this in mind, LG has launched LG Max as we are sure that this smartphone will offer unprecedented value to 3G consumers," said LG Mobiles India's marketing head Amit Gujral.

"This smartphone offers great balance of form, function and price and we expect it to be even more successful than its predecessor," he added.
