Mangalore, May 27: Two persons were arrested by the district Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) for allegedly trying to peddle processed charas in Udupi here on Saturday May 26.
Acting on a tip-off the police seized the contraband, said to fetch a value of Rs 80,000, from them. They have been identified as district Armed Reserve (DAR) staff Srikara (27), a resident of Padavu in Shirva and Aravinda of Bhagirathi compound in Ambagilu.
It was reportedly supplied by one Ravi alias Dombe Krishna, who while in custody in the station, had developed contacts the police personnel and roped him in into the network.
DCIB inspector Thimmaiah and his persnnel arrested them.
