Coromandel International posts lower profit


Chennai, July 27 (IANS): Fertiliser major Coromandel International closed the first quarter of the current fiscal with a lower net profit, it was announced on Monday.

In a regulatory filing in BSE, the company said it has posted a net profit of Rs.13.63 crore for the quarter ended June 30 as against Rs.25.32 crore posted during corresponding period of the previous year.

Total income stood at Rs.2,187.5 crore for the quarter ended June 30, where as the same was at Rs.1,701.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30 last year.
