Riyadh, May 27: A senior colleague always used to say, ''If any problem crops, it does not come alone, but comes in battalion form". It appears to be true if we look around where people are suffering from some problem or the other, in different conditions and in different degrees.

This deep thought arises while reporting the sad news of the grievous injury sustained by one Zakariya, a Mangalorean, in Buraidah, about 350 k.m. from Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Zakariya (28) has been hospitalized and is in coma after he fell from a height twelve days ago while doing some maintenance work in a marriage hall, as instructed by his sponsor. He was seriously injured in his head, became unconscious and was in traumatic condition.

Now he struggling between life and death. He has been diagnosed with serious head injuries and blood coagulation. It was reported that two major surgeries were conducted on his head in order to remove the clotting in the head. Still he is in a coma condition without any symptom of recovery so far.

Zakariya hails from a poor family in Kalladka, Bantwal  in Dakshina Kannada district and he is son of Abdul Khadar.  He joined work under a Saudi sponsor named Abdullah Al Ghannam in Buraidha in Qassim region was earning for the livelihood of his family.

Ahmed Zakariya Yousuf from Beltangady, branch sales manager of Al-Muhaidib Foods Company in Buraidah and the victim's brother Sayyed, who is working in Al Hassa in eastern province, and others are in constant touch with the sponsor of the victim, and regularly visiting the hospital to enquire after his condition and to give help.

Now all his relatives, friends and sympathizers are wishing for his speedy and complete recovery. It is their earnest wish that all the medical expense must be by his sponsor. The Indian Embassy is also requested to take noteof this incident and do its best to get him properly treated and healed and to instruct his employer to bear all the expenses of the medical treatment through the authorities concerned.
