Japan industrial output rises


Tokyo, Jul 30 (IANS): Japan's industrial output increased a seasonally adjusted 0.8 percent in June on month, the industry ministry here said Thursday in a preliminary report.

The index of output at factories and mines stood at 98.0 against the base of 100 in 2010, said the ministry, adding that the index of industrial shipments gained 0.3 percent to 96.3, while that of inventories was up 1.3 percent at 114.4, reported Xinhua.
