Past experiences important to face current situations: Chandra

Gurgaon, July 30 (IANS): Past experiences are equally important in daily life, especially while managing managing businesses, helping people to adapt and adopt the attendant changes that recur from time-to-time, Essel Group chairman Subhash Chanda has said.

The latest show is based on talks with the students of Management Development Institute here.

"In business, the rear view mirror is clearer than the windshield," Chandra says, adding: "There are some experiences we attain from our interactions that inspire us to change ourselves, while certain others compel us not to change at all."

He says ina bid fo cope up with the dynamic changes occurring daily in our environment, one has to adapt in order to becoming capable of facing the real life situations. The experiences which we avail from our interactions with the world actually inspire us," he says.

"The day we stop differentiating between good and bad experiences, success will be ours. A true leader is a person who learns lessons from his bad experiences, and utilises them positively to move ahead in his career."
