Railways seek passenger feedback on bedrolls

New Delhi, July 30 (IANS): To improve customer amenities, Indian Railways on Thursday started a survey to seek passenger preference of bedrolls required during train travel.

According to the railways, a detailed questionnaire on the bedrolls like bedsheets, towels, pillows and blankets has been posted on its website. The questionnaire can be filled up online and submitted by August 17, 2015.

"The questions asked in the survey include all aspects pertaining to bedrolls like cleanliness, colour, size, design and fabric preferences as well as possible charges," the railways was quoted as saying in a statement.

The railways has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to work on quality and design of bedrolls and related issues.

"The survey has been designed in consultation with NIFT. The data collected through the survey will prove to be useful in this exercise," the statement added.
