Mangaluru, Aug 3: Thieves broke into Maple store, the premium showroom for Apple products, located at Balmatta here and decamped with items approximately worth Rs 20 lac.
The theft occured at around 2.30 am on Monday August 3, police sources said.
CCTV footage revealed that three persons gained entry into the store by breaking open an electricity service board.
It is learnt that there was burglar alarm fitted on the products, and as soon as the siren went off, the security agency in Mumbai received an alert. The manager of the store was then informed by the Mumbai security agency officials.
However, by the time the manager and the police arrived at the spot, the thieves had already fled with the loot. The total worth of the stolen products is estimated at Rs 20 lac.
Fingerprint experts and canine squad were also called to the spot.
Kadri police are investigating.
