Way2online launches free news app


Hyderabad, Aug 3 (IANS): Internet technology companyWay2online on Monday announced it has launched Way2News, a free app that brings short summarized nuggets of news in local languages.

Anticipating a huge demand for news consumption in local languages, Way2News is foraying into the large untapped segment of news readers who want to consume news in their native languages, the company said in a statement.

Currently, way2news is available in Hindi, Telugu and English languages and is planning to add eight more languages in next 45 days.

The emphasis is on presenting news as short summarized snippets that fit in the mobile screen without scrolling.

"We summarize each news story in just 400 characters. The idea is to enable the reader to assimilate all the major occurrences across the world without having to spend too much time poring over lengthy articles," said Way2online founder-CEO Raju Vanapala.

Way2Online is a an innovative and emerging Internet technology company with interests in messaging communications, e-tailing and social media.
