Mangalore, Jun 4: 'Terror Unleashed' an exhibition on Kashmir at Canara College here on Sunday June 3 was a poignant reminder of the violence in the uppermost part of the country.
The exhibition, organized by the local unit of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, was inaugurated by Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike convener Hanumant Kamat.
Speaking on the occasion, Kuldip Pandit, who had fled from the Kashmir Valley several years ago narrated the plight of Kashmiri Pandits and lamented that the government has been ignoring them as they are not a vote bank. He spoke about the atrocities on the people of Kashmir which forced about 400 families to fled to Karnataka and settle here.
The exhibition has on display photographs, statistic, art works etc which tell the hardships faced by the people of Kashmir.
Among those present were Muktananda Swami of Satyanarayanpura Math, Ramananda Swami of Kolya Math and Janajagruti Samiti south India zonal convener Shivananda Prabhu.
