Riyadh, Jun 4: 'Engendering responsible, educated leaders by bringing about a well-built educational institution in Padubidri'is the star vision of Padubidri Panorama, which came into existence last year (June 2006) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Keeping the socio-economic along with educational conditions of the village Muslim community in view, the birth pang of community services of Padubidrians in the Kingdom gave birth to PANORAMA with its identical twin branches in Dammam and Riyadh respectively. In the inception itself, Panorama had a noble project of renovation of Urdu school building to be taken up in hand.  As such, it has made a clear vision with a mission to create future resourceful personalities by making an educational hub in the heart of the village - Padubidri.

Urdu School in Padubidri which was established in rough and ready thatched roof in 1938 with the endeavour of few senior people of the time has a long history of around 70 years . The school, which has been under the sponsorship of Himayathul Islam Sangha Padubidri, was recognized under the education department of government of Karnataka.  All subjects with Urdu as a major subject are being taught in the School. It has created a hotbed for many versatile personalities in different arenas like engineers, lawyers, teachers, journalists, artists, tycoons and others alike.

At present it is the only Urdu school in Udupi district where more than 200 students are studying from first to seventh standard. However, the school is now on the verge of disrepair that signals a collapse at any moment. Some active and vibrant persons, who are in educational, political, social and community service fields, came forward to reconstruct the building and have been in full swing in realizing their dreams into reality in this regard.

They have been working day and night with their entire capacities to generate funds and other infrastructures for the proposed venture. They approached many donors, philanthropists and those who are in ruling helm for the noble cause. The foundation stone for the proposed building - that would be a single roof for a multi-educational centres like English Medium School, technical institute, Shari'ah School, computer education, women's college, fashion designing and home science and other branches of vocational courses was laid some two months back and the many political bigwigs - central and state ministers like Oscar Fernandes, Udupi district in-charge minister V S Acharya, Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon, fofmer minister Vasant V Salian and others and philanthropists and educationalists like B Ahmed Haji Thumbay and others were present on the occasion to witness the ceremony.

Panorama is also to extend a helping hand with the patrons of the School Reconstruction Committee, which is already formed in this respect. Despite its community and humanitarian services, Panorama has prioritized the renovation work at first. Several legal ways of raising funds for the noble cause have been lined up by Panorama including family get-together and other sources. The recent colourful Family Get-together-2007 held in Al-Rush Resort in Riyadh with a variety of programs was a bottom-line result of its maiden effort to generate funds for the prospective educational cause.

The Gala-2007 was started at 8 pm and ended at 4 am with a variety of events for the gents, ladies and children. Games, sports, cricket, volleyball were in the list of play, and tug-of-war, hitting pots blindfolded, gunny bag race, jump and pick the tied hanging bread competition for the children were the highlights that brought fun and joy to the event. Early Bird Prize, Lucky Family, Lucky Baby, Raffle Prizes were the unique attraction of the program. People of different communities and different nationalities like Jordanian, Egyptian and Sudanian families also relished the colourful event.

Padubidri Panorama Riyadh unit president Abdul Rahiman, secretary A H Sarfraz, treasurer Khader Mayyaddi Padubidri, A H Umer, Farook Chabu Haji, P H Hameed, Shaban Padubidri, Mansoor Ahmed, Dammam unit treasurer Ibrahim M Hussain, adviser M H Khader and Daijiworld Correspondent P A Hameed Padubidri were present on the dais.

Majeed Idinabba, Salam M Hussain, Aziz Hussain, Mansoor [Deen Street], Ismail Idinabba oversaw the cricket, volleyball and other games. Parvez Ali Katipalla, Kasim Ahmed , Haneef Bardila, Nazeer Ahmed of JF Riyadh unit, former 'Karnataka Kishore' of Best Physique, and Khader Hejmady were also present and gave an active patronage for the get-together. Abubakker Katapady compered the programme.
