Mangaluru, Aug 6: After a series of Tulu movies started hitting theaters across the coastal region, Konkani filmdom also seems to be gearing up to make its presence felt in the Konkani speaking belt.
A brand new Konkani movie will start shooting in the month of September - October 2015, according to a well-known producer from Mangaluru who has already directed and produced some Tulu and Kannada movies.
The two-hour movie based on a real-life story is planned for release early next year.
The shooting is expected to take place in Mangaluru, Udupi, Madikeri and Goa.
The director is looking for fluent Konkani speaking candidates for the following roles:
Main role - Male and female
Negative role : Two male, one female
Comedy charecters : Three male and a female
Supporting roles : two male and female each
Child role : Male and female (Below 10 years)
Other supporting roles
Those selected for the movie will be eligible for travel expenses, daily expenses and suitable remuneration, according to the media release.
Interested candidates must be ready to spare time for shooting in the later part of September and mid-October.
