M'luru: Baroda to host National Kannada Cultural Convention on Sep 27

Mangaluru, Aug 6: Hrudayavahini Group Karnataka and Karnataka Sangha, Baroda have together scheduled the 12th National Kannada Cultural Convention – 2015 in Baroda, Gujarat on Sep 27.


Elite people, authors and artistes in the land are expected to participate in the convention. Jam sessions of poets, comedians, media and non resident Kannadigas are proposed to be held during the convention. Cultural programmes will consist of Yakshagana, drama, Bharathanatya and Janapada dance.

More than five thousand Kannadigas have settled in Gujarat. More than ten associations of Kannadigas are functioning there.

The conference committee consists of Ramesh D C, Bengaluru and Dr V Nagaraj, Bengaluru as honorary presidents, K P Manjunath Sagar as president, Raju Adakalli Bengaluru as vice president, Yakub Khader Gulvadi as chief secretary and Srinivas Kariappa as organizing secretary.

The programme will start at 9 am and will concluded at 6 pm on September 27.
