Mangaluru: Two try to murder resident of Moodushedde

Mangaluru, Aug 6: In an incident which occurred at Moodushedde Shivanagara in the city, two persons tried to hack Raghavendra, a local resident, to death. The incident occurred on the night of Tuesday August 4.

Raghavendra was speaking to his neighbours at around 9.45 pm on Tuesday, when two persons, identified as Kati Manoj and Podi Vijeth, came seeking him.

Chidanand, elder brother of Raghavendra, called Raghavendra, telling him that two persons had come to meet him. When Raghavendra went back to his courtyard to check, Vijeth reportedly produced a sword from inside his shirt and swung it at Raghavendra, injuring him in the head and neck regions. Raghavendra collapsed to the ground, after which he was admitted into the government Wenlock Hospital here.

The two attackers disappeared thereafter. A case stands registered about this incident at Kavoor police station.
