Defender Samba to join Turkish club Trabzonspor

Ankara (Turkey), Aug 7 (IANS): Former Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers defender Christopher Samba is set to complete his move to Turkish club Trabzonspor.

The 31-year-old France born Congolese defender will join the Turkish side from Dynamo Moscow without a transfer fee. Samba will earn 2.5 million euros annually, reports Xinhua.

The news broke out when Trabzonspor general manager Serhat Altinci shared a photo with the defender onboard the private plane which took off from London on Thursday.

Samba joined Dynamo Moscow from Anzhi Makhachkala in the start of the 2013-2014 season after serving for Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers in the English Premier League.

Trabzonspor which finished last year's domestic league in the fifth place, have embarked on another busy summer in the transfer market, securing Stephane Mbia from Sevilla, as well as 24-year-old Lazio wing-back Luis Cavanda.

Samba will also be joining the likes of Oscar Cardozo, Kevin Constant and Jose Bosingwa. It is reported that Trabzonspor are closing down a deal to bring in Hull City's Dame N'Doye.
