NLC generates higher net profit first quarter

Chennai, Aug 7 (IANS): Integrated lignite mining-cum-power generation company Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd (NLC) on Friday said it closed first quarter of current fiscal with a net profit of Rs.366.90 crore against Rs.334.05 crore in the same period last year.

In a regulatory filing in BSE, the company said its total income has increased from Rs. 1,642.99 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014 to Rs. 1,965.79 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
