Kundapur, Jun 7: Shree Lakshmivaratheertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math will be swimming for one hour with Harshit Kharvi, a 12-year-old boy who had hit the news headlines after entering into record books by swimming a distance of 25 kilometres with his hands and legs bound in chain, here on Sunday June 10.
Addressing the press meet, Jaycees programme coordinator Suresh Hanglur said that the Swamiji will be swimming along with Harshith Karvi for an hours. He also said that the Swamiji is good at swimming and has been inspired by the lad who suprised everyone on his debut.
Swamiji will ceremoniously be welcomed at Mahakali temple at Kharvikeri where he will offer prayers. He will present Harshit with a bicycle, to go to school besides financial assistance to help him for his future studies.
Fisheries leader, Pramod Madhwaraj, will be present on the oocasion.
