Bantwal, Aug 10: Bantwal police have managed to arrest two prime suspects relating to Sajipa Mooda murder and assault case which happened on Thursday, August 6.
The team led by circle inspector K U Belliappa arrested two persons whose names have not been revealed due to security concerns. The police also reportedly seized the lethal weapons used for the attack.
Nasir and auto rickshaw driver Mohammed Mustafa were attacked with machetes at Sajipa Mooda near Melkar in Bantwal late night on Thursday by a group of four. Nasir breathed his last without responding to treatment the next day at a private hospital in Mangaluru.
Other two suspects are still absconding. The arrested will be produced in court on Monday. Past feud has been blamed as the reason for the attack. As per sources, this attack was carried out as retaliation for an attack which took place at Kokal near Manchi some time back.
