Mangaluru, Aug 11: Nithyadar Battery Works celebrated its 40th anniversary by launching the new ‘Batt on Wheelz’ vehicle on Monday August 10, at Falnir here.

The new vehicle ‘Batt on Wheelz’ will help vehicles that suffer breakdowns due to battery problems. MLC Ivan D’Souza, Corrine Rasquinha and Vitus Rasquinha from White Doves, oldest auto driver of city Monthu Lobo, Nithyadar Battery Works shop owners Nelson Castelino and his mother Lilly Castelino launched the vehicle.
Fr Peter Cyprian D'Souza the superior of St Ann’s Friary blessed the vehicle.
Addressing the gathering, Ivan D’Souza said, “Batt on Wheelz is just like an ambulance. When your vehicle’s battery is not working, just give a call to Batt on Wheelz vehicle and it will come to the place where your vehicle has stopped. This is a very good project.”
As it was Ivan D’Souza’s 50th birthday, the guests gathered on this occasion wished him a happy birthday while Ivan cut the cake.
Nelson Castelino in his vote of thanks speech mentioned that he was happy to complete 40 years in business and it is a very important milestone for the company.
Sawan Prakash from Bharatiya Mahila Bank and others were also present on this occasion.
