Mangaluru: Mangalore Productivity Council holds 'Jeevanadalli Hasya' programme

Mangaluru, Aug 11: “Laughter is a sign of happiness and jubilation. To make others laugh through jokes is an art. Laughter is an excellent tonic that fills one with new spirit without any expenses. Laughter can make enemies as friends if it remains within limits withoutturning into insults”, said Nithyananda Shettigar, Chief Manager ofLaxmi Vilas Bank Limited.

He was speaking after inaugurating 'Jeevanadalli Hasya' programme held by Mangalore Productivity Council on World friendship day. He recollected the Chinese proverb that jobs are not suitable for those who cannot laugh.

“The one who knows to laugh has no worries. Laughter is necessary for everybody to ease mental tension between ups and downs and mental pain in life. The almighty has bestowed the boon of laughter only to human beings”, said Chief guest Dr K Rajesh Nayak, Director of Training, College of Banking and financial studies under Central Bank of Oman.

Well known Auditor S S Nayak presided over the programme. Savithri Rao led the prayers. U Rama Rao welcomed and compered the programme. P B Saralaya proposed Vote of thanks. A silent prayer was said in the beginning of the programme for the soul of late Dr Abdul Kalam.
