Mumbai: VPM Jaini College celebrates silver jubilee

Mumbai, Aug 13: Vidya Prasarak Mandal Vanaja Sunder Shetty Memorial Junior College celebrated their silver jubilee recently. Vidyasagar Rao, governor of Maharashtra was the chief guest. He spoke on the
occasion praising the college for trying to develop the society through education.

Vidya Prasarak Mandal chief honorary secretary Dr P M Kamath said that the institute teaches other languages besides Kannada. “Children join Balavadi and study till university level. The government
which promises free and compulsory education collects fees. The corporation, state or union governments have not responded to our needs,” he said. He requested generous donors to come forward to help the institute.

Teachers Shamadevi Yadav and Suvina Shetty introduced the guests and compered the porgramme. Mandala joint secretary B H Katty proposed the vote of thanks. The celebrations concluded after the cultural programme.
