Mangalorean Glen Philip Lobo Commissioned as Army Lieutenant

Pune, Jun 13: Mangalorean Glen Philip Lobo has been appointed the lieutenant of the Indian Army. The oath-taking ceremony was held at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun on Saturday June 9.

Born on December 23, 1984 at Bejai in Mangalore, Glen is the son of Philip Lobo and Stella Lobo, both hailing from Mangalore. The couple shifted to Pune after their marriage in 1983 and are now staying at Maharashtra Housing Board, Yerwada, where the senior Philip had set up tailoring business under the banner of Philips Men’s Wear way back in 1978. He also served at Kirloskar for seven years.

Glen passed his SSC from Don Bosco High School and did his 12th at St Vincent's Junior College, Pune.  While he was doing ENTC (Engineering) in 2003, he was selected for Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.

As of now, Glen is studying IT Telecommunications at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.
