Chef Sanjeev Kapoor flown to Abu Dhabi for Modi's dinner

Abu Dhabi, Aug 17 (IANS): Star chef Sanjeev Kapoor was flown to Abu Dhabi on Sunday to dish up a special vegetarian fare for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the dinner hosted by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) that controls the $800 billion sovereign wealth fund of the oil-rich Gulf country.

"Discussing invest opprts over high level dinner. HH Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, MD of Abu Dhabi Inv. Authority hosts PM," tweeted external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup.

"Star chef @SanjeevKapoor was flown in by UAE hosts for a special vegetarian menu in honour of PM @narendramodi," he added.

The ADIA sovereign wealth fund is said to be the world's second largest sovereign wealth fund.

Modi will be seeking to tap the sovereign wealth fund for infrastructure projects in India.

Modi, a strict vegetarian, is here on a two-day official visit.

    Article clearly states chef was flown by UAE hosts... God only knows how can dumb people live in Canada and USA.., MAY BE they are having colour blindness who can't read what is written in black and white... Hope they get burnol in their respective countries

    Is Mr. Modi afraid of eating vegetarian food from other countries?

    Who is paying for the chef to reach UAE for the special cooking?

    Next time, wait to hear a custom-made aircraft exclusive kitchen for Mr. Modi and that will be following the Boeing 747 around the world.
