Puttur, Aug 18: A person who riding his motor bike towards Bengaluru from Mangaluru lost control over the vehicle when negotiating Oornadka road bend in Shiradi village on the ghat section of national highway 75 and lost his life. The accident occurred on Monday August 17 evening. The victim was Asgar Pasha (32), a resident of Kaveri Nagara in Bengaluru. His end came when being taken to Mangaluru for treatment.

Asgar Pasha came to Ullal from Bengaluru on his motor bike and was returning home on Monday. It is said that Pasha was moving at considerable speed as the condition of the road happens to be good, and hence, could not control the vehicle when passing the road bend. His pillion rider, Noor Muhammed, stands admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru with serious injuries.

It may be recalled that a bike rider was killed at Myrakatte bend in Perne village on national highway 75 on Sunday. As the road was closed to traffic for repairs, many stretches of the road have not been damaged during the rainy season. As a result, vehicles tend to gain speed, and the drivers get an urge to move at the same speed even on curves, giving rise to fatal accidents.
