Kasargod: Gang stabs youth- reason for attack remains mystery

Kasargod, Aug 20: A gang of men who arrived in a car stabbed and tried to kill a youth in Bandyod under Kumble police station limits on the morning of Wednesday August 19.

Bandyod Mallangai resident Athif (26) is the victim. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

The incident occurred on Bandyod Permude road at 9.45 am on Wednesday. Athif was going to his shop when the gang which came by car stabbed him and fled.

By the time the locals came rushing on hearing the screams, the gang had fled. Athif, who was seriously injured, was rushed to Uppala Hospital for first aid and then to a hospital in Mangaluru.

The reason for the attack is not known. Kumble station police are investigating.
