Mombasa (Kenya), Aug 20 (IANS): A British woman residing in Kenya was mauled to death by her pet dogs.
Police said Elizabeth Claire Wright was attacked on Wednesday in Malindi town by her two dogs when she arrived home. She was killed instantly, Xinhua reported.
Police officer Sicharani Wilberforce said they have launched investigation into the incident.
"The dogs were set free by the husband and attacked her when she opened the gate. She was overpowered and mauled to death," Sicharani said.
Sicharani said the woman sustained deep injuries and succumbed to them as she was being rushed to hospital.
