Thai cabinet reshuffle list endorsed: PM

Bangkok, Aug 20 (IANS): Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said on Thursday that a cabinet reshuffle list has been endorsed by the king but not yet published.

The list, which was not yet posted on the Royal Thai Government Gazette website as of now, showed changes to about 20 positions and included about 10 new cabinet ministers, the Bangkok Post reported citing Prayut as saying.

The reshuffle list was completed on August 11, but no details were provided as to how the current cabinet would be reshuffled or when the list would be forwarded to King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

According to the list, the ministers who were excluded from the new lineup agreed to become advisors to the prime minister except for Deputy Prime Minister, Pridiyathorn Devakula.

The list is expected to be published later in the day.
