No trade with India unless relations improve: Pakistani minister

Islamabad, Aug 20 (IANS): Pakistani Federal Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan has ruled out trade with India “unless diplomatic relations” improve between them, the media reported on Thursday.

The minister on Wednesday said that Pakistan neither had any dialogue nor any trade progress with India since 2014, Dawn online reported.

He said Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz would visit India for security talks on August 23 and hoped that diplomatic relations with New Delhi would improve as a result of the visit.

If so, the trade ties between the two countries could also improve correspondingly, Dastgir added.
