Ranchi, Aug 20 (IANS): A state government official was on Thursday shot at near the Jharkhand Assembly building here.
Manoj Kumar, asection officer in the home department, was shot while on his way to office.
Agitated with the incident, the state secretariat staffers boycotted their work.
According to government sources, Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar has assured the staffers of nrcessary action.
