'An excavation', an exhibition of paintings by Anand Bedrala, was inaugurated by artist John Devraj at Chitarakala Parishat in Bangalore on Friday. The exhibition will remain open to the public up to June 17. Anand Bedrala was born in Puttur in 1977. He has a diploma in fine art AM GD and BFA. He has won the national award Varnika 2002 and Jaycees' Outstanding Young Person Award 2004. He has held about 15 solo and 18 group exhibitions all over in India, various national exhibitions, painting camps and art workshops. He is best known for oil and acrylic paintings. His paintings are in the personal collections of art-lovers in England, USA, Germany, Denmark and India.
