M'luru: KNS conducts inter-parish fancy dress competition

Mangaluru, Aug 21: Konkani Natak Sabha®(KNS) Mangaluru organized the 29th inter parish fancy dress competition of different parishes under Mangaluru Diocese at Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday August 16.
















































The competition was inaugurated by Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza, president of KNS by lighting the lamp along with office bearers.

The competition was held in two parts – below 15 years and above 15 years.

66 competitors from 5 parishes took part in the below 15 years category for the solo, duet and mixed group.

Bajal and Bajjodi parishes bagged the first place, Bondel parish won the second and Angelore parish the third.

147 competitors from 4 parishes took part in the above 15 years category for solo, duet and mixed group.

Bajal parish bagged the first place, Bajjodi parish the second and Bondel parish the third place.

Roopa Pinto, Nigil Pereira and Daya Victor Lobo were the judges.

Fr Cyprian Peter D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Raymond D’Cunha and Prem Lobo compered the competition. General secretary Sunil Menezes proposed the vote of thanks. Convenor Jerry Pinto introduced the judges and convenor Floyd D’Mello announced the results.
