Udupi, Jun 18: A person was killed in a tragic road accident at Marpalli near Korangrapady here on Monday June 18 morning.

The deceased has been identified as Laxmikant (23), a resident of Gulbarga.  He was working as a tempo driver here for a private company.

Sources said that, Laxmikant was seriously injured when his bike collided with a private bus at Marpalli here. He was taken to hospital immediately.  However, he succumbed to injuries on the way.
