New York, Aug 25 (IANS): US stocks continued to plunge on Monday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average diving more than 500 points, as a rout in global markets continued to intensify.

The Dow shed over 3.5 percent, the S&P 500 slumped 3.9 percent, and the Nasdaq sank 3.8 percent, Xinhua reported.
