Puttur: Rape backed by promise of employment - case filed at Uppinangady

Puttur, Aug 25: A woman has filed a complaint in Uppinangady police station, alleging that a person who got introduced to her over cellphone raped her. She said that she had gone with the youngster after he lured her with an offer of appointment, when she was raped.

The lady who belongs to Patrame village is 25 years old. She said in the complaint that the man who introduced himself over phone as Dileep from Venoor, picked her up from her home by promising her to provide employment. He led her to a house near Venoor and raped her adding that the man also cheated her on his promise of providing her a job.

Uppinangady police have registered a case and begun the investigation.
