US national security advisor to visit China


Beijing, Aug 25 (IANS): US National Security Advisor Susan Rice will visit China later this week, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman said on Tuesday.

During Rice's stay in China from Friday to Saturday, the Chinese and and US sides will exchange views on bilateral ties and other major issues of mutual concern, spokesman Lu Kang said in a press release, Xinhua reported.

They will prepare for Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to the US in September at the invitation of US President Barack Obama, according to the spokesman.
