Now doorstep delivery for Carzonrent's self-driven cars


New Delhi, Aug 25 (IANS): Car rental company Carzonrent India on Tuesday said it will provide doorstep delivery services to its customers opting to rent a self-driven car in Gurgaon and will gradually extend this service to other cities.

The customer will have to pay an extra Rs.500 to opt for this facility which can be availed during the booking.

In a statement, the company said this facility will enhance the customer's experience as they would not have to worry about the last mile travel in a traffic-clogged city like Gurgaon.

"We are delighted to introduce this advantage to all our customers in Gurgaon. Renting and driving a car as if it were your own car will now become simpler as the car will be available at your doorstep," said the company's executive director Sakshi Vij.

In the next few months, Myles - the company's self-driven car rental service - will be extending this doorstep delivery option to 21 cities across the country.

Carzonrent's fleet of 1,000 self-driven cars is equipped with in-built GPS systems and the company has plans to add another 5,000 cars in the coming 12 months. It will also be adding 1000 more pickup locations for the self-driven hired cars.

The company, in the coming four years plans to take its entire fleet count to 50,000 cars covering 50 cities.
