Media played big role in AAP's Delhi win: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Aug 26 (IANS): Often critical of the media, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday gave it credit for the AAP's spectacular win in the assembly polls earlier this year.

Kejriwal said his government was portrayed as being against the media, but that was not the case.

"For the success of the Aam Aadmi Party, a major share of the credit goes to the media. If they did not take our voice to the people, they would not have voted for us," Kejriwal said at the two-day orientation programme for Delhi lawmakers which began on Tuesday.

In February, the AAP trounced the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by winning 67 out of the 70 seats in the Delhi assembly. The remaining three seats went to the BJP, while the Congress did not win any.
