PM greets people on Onam

New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the people on the occasion of Onam.

"Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Onam," Modi said in a tweet.

"The spirit of togetherness with which Onam is celebrated is truly gladdening. May Onam further the spirit of joy and prosperity in the society."

Onam is a 10-day harvest festival, celebrated mainly in Kerala.
