Sonia pays tribute to 1965 war's martyrs

New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS): Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Friday paid homage to the martyrs of the 1965 Indo-Pak war on its 50th anniversary.

"Under the leadership of the then prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and defence minister Y.B. Chavan, the Indian forces displayed exemplary courage and wrote yet another chapter in the history of India," Gandhi said in a statement.
