Sheena murder: Brother Mikhail reaches Mumbai for probe

Mumbai, Aug 28 (IANS): Mumbai police on Friday brought Mikhail Bora, the brother of Sheena Bora, to Mumbai for the investigation into his sister's killing.

A two-member police team escorted Bora from his home state of Assam on a flight to Mumbai, after he was quizzed at his Guwahati home on Thursday.

In the past couple of days, attention has been drawn to Mikhail's claims that he knows a lot more about his sister Sheena's killing and has promised to give all evidence to the police to nail their mother Indrani Mukherjea, who is among three people arrested by the Mumbai police.

Speaking to television channels briefly after landing in Mumbai this morning, Mikhail asserted he had "not handed over any evidence to police" but intended to do so soon.

Police are likely to confront Indrani Mukherjea, her first husband Sanjeev Khanna - arrested and brought to Mumbai from Kolkata on Friday - and driver Shyam Rai, with Mikhail's statements.

Prior to leaving for Mumbai, Mikhail claimed he was also targeted and expressed grave threats to his life in Mumbai from his mother, the wife of former media tycoon Peter Mukherjea.
