Rajeev Kumar named envoy to Senegal


New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS): IFS officer Rajeev Kumar has been appointed as the next ambassador of to the west African country of Senegal, an official release said on Saturday.

Kumar, an Indian Foreign Service of the 2001 batch, is presently deputy chief of mission in the India embassy in Brazil, the release said.

"Kumar is expected to take up his assignment next month," it said.
