AAP suspends MPs Dharamvira Gandhi, Harinder Khalsa

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS): The AAP on Saturday suspended party MPs Dharamavira Gandhi and Harinder Singh Khalsa from primary membership of the party and initiated disciplinary proceedings against them.

The Aam Aadmi Party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) suspended the MPs and referred disciplinary proceedings against them to the National Disciplinary Action Committee, said party spokesperson Deepak Bajpai.

Gandhi is MP from Punjab's Patiala constituency whereas Khalsa represents Fatehgarh Sahib constituency in the state.

"In its meeting on Saturday, the PAC took cognizance of anti-party activities indulged in by Gandhi and Khalsa in Punjab. In a unanimous decision, the PAC suspended Khalsa and Gandhi from the party and referred their cases to the National Disciplinary Action Committee," Bajpai said adding that all PAC members except Kumar Vishwas were present in the meeting.

"Now the three-member NDAC, with Pankaj Gupta, Dilip Pandey and me as its members, will look into the complaints of indiscipline and anti-party activities against Gandhi and Khalsa," he added.

Bajpai charged Gandhi and Khalsa with involvement "in the activities of certain outfits, opposed to aims and objectives of the party".

"The only aim of these outfits is to damage the party and anti-corruption movement in the country," he said, adding that there are several instances that show that Gandhi and Khalsa were trying to establish a parallel organization with the sole objective of damaging the party in Punjab.

AAP is only the honest party in India and fighting against corruption. They never cares to expel or suspend the dishonest MLA/MPs of their party. Whether the congress and BJP will do that. Don't bark like a dirty dog against AAP without knowing the fact

    WM,

My name is Sudhakar, I am not a coward to hide my identity. Cowards not only hide their identity, but also call others in some other names.

By the way all the political parties in India are dishonest and while pointing for corruption, dishonest, communal, etc. I will name all the parties, not single party.

Good disciplinary action by AAP, hope other parties will do the same. AAP is a party with the difference but other parties will not allow them to survive.

THATS THE GOOD DECISION BY AAM AADMI PARTY.. BUT WHAT ABOUT THOSE INNOCENT CITIZENS OR VOTERS WHO HAVE VOTED AAP IN INTENSION OF DEVELOPING THE NATION.. IF AAP KEEPS ON SUSPENDING AND DISMISSING THEIR LEADERS FOR THEIR INTERNAL REASONS, THEN THERE IS A DAY WHEN THERE WILL BE NO AAM AADMI IN THE AAM AADMI PARTY..

AAM AADMI PARTY IS FOLLOWING POLITICS OF ATTITUDE PROBLEM AND LACK OF LEADERSHIP TO RESOLVE INTERNAL PROBLEMS.

Bold and timely decision to suspend them and finally expel them. AAP can devote its energy to build the party structure in Punjab and prepare its cadres for the coming Assembly elections instead wasting time on these two MPs. They are not true AAPians. They are wolves in sheep's clothing.

what an example for other parties. hope they take a clue from APP. APP is a threat for other parties because of the diciplinary action it takes against its members/leaders when they are currupt or any other illigal activities. if other parties follow this then no one will remain in the party!

    Dear Mr. Pinto

The actual reason for suspension was because they criticized Arvind Kejriwal and his ways of governance. Arvind Kejriwal criticizes every other person in this world but when someone criticizes Him or his party he/she is immediately Suspended.. The Great party and its great Leader..What a joke..Why there was no inquiry when Somnath Bharthi's wife alleged physical violence against her??? The same case with Ankit Lal?? No enquiry?? why double standards?? AAP is nothing but a joke..Now they are back supporting Congress and Lalu in Bihar.Lust for power is it?? Arvind Kejriwal is the most egoistic CM that we have seen since a long time.
