Kundapur: Hit by speeding car, boy on bicycle gets killed

Kundapur, Aug 31: After a car which came at high speed hit a bicycle from behind near Surgeon Hospital at Ankadakatte in the outskirts of the town on Sunday August 30, a teenager riding the bicycle died on the spot.

The victim, Chandrashekhar (14), was a native of Basavana Bagewadi in Bagalkot district. He was a eighth standard student at his native place. His parents and a brother live in a house near Ankadakatte here since the last 20 years. The victim's parents work as coolies. Chandrashekhar had come on Sunday morning from his native place to meet his family members, and was going to a shop on the bicycle belonging to his brother, when tragedy struck.

The accident occurred near the divider at Ankadakatte. A case was filed in the traffic police station here.
