Indian American honoured with top scholar award


New York, Sep 1 (IANS): An Indian American professor from Duke University is set to be presented with the “2015 SMS Emerging Scholar Award” from Illinois-based Strategic Management Society (SMS).

Aaron Chatterji will be honoured at the 2016 SMS annual international conference and will receive $5,000 as prize money. He will also present his research at the conference, India West news portal reported.

The prize is awarded to a relatively young or new scholar who displays exemplary scholarship that promises to have an impact on future strategic management practice.

Chatterji served as a senior economist with the White House Council of Economic Advisers where he worked on a wide range of policies relating to entrepreneurship, innovation, infrastructure and economic growth.

He has authored several columns in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, has appeared on TV and radio and was recently profiled in The Financial Times and Fortune.

Chatterji is a term member of the US Council on Foreign Relations and previously worked as a financial analyst at global investment firm Goldman Sachs.
